Live mode in SuperMemo is better than ever: more natural AI conversations and new courses

A conversation with AI should feel like talking to a person, not like a series of random questions and answers. That is why we continue to develop Live mode in SuperMemo. The latest update makes dialogues smoother, responses more context-aware, and the learning experience even more natural.

But that is not the only new development. Live mode is now also available in more language courses: Olive Green and the entire Fast Track series. This means that even more learners can practise speaking in realistic situations and develop greater confidence in communication from their very first lessons.

In case you are not familiar with this feature yet, read our article: Live in SuperMemo – a new way to learn a language.

Conversations that sound more natural

One of the improvements introduced in the latest version of Live mode is the quality of conversations. Dialogues now flow even more smoothly. The model understands the course of the conversation better, interprets the learner’s responses more accurately, and reacts to the context more naturally.

In practice, this means fewer situations in which you have to wonder whether the AI has understood you correctly, and more time spent on actual communication. The experience is now closer to having a conversation with a real person.

This is particularly important when learning a language. In everyday communication, we do not respond to a series of isolated, unrelated questions. Each statement follows from the previous one, and the conversation develops gradually. The latest update reflects this natural pattern of communication even more effectively.

More courses with Live mode

Another new development is the expanded availability of the feature.

As of 30 July 2026, Live mode is also available in the following courses:

  • Olive Green – an English course based on an interactive action film,
  • Fast Track – courses designed to help you quickly learn the basics of Norwegian, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, or Chinese.

With Live mode, you can now practise the material from these courses not only by completing standard exercises, but also by having a conversation with AI.

This is only the beginning for Live

Live mode is developing rapidly. The latest update shows the direction in which language learning is heading: towards increasingly natural conversations supported by artificial intelligence and based on the proven method of intelligent repetition.

Responses that are better adapted to the context make conversations smoother, while extending the feature to more courses creates even more opportunities to use the language in practice. Regular communication is what helps learners build confidence and gradually overcome the speaking barrier.

In case you already use Live mode, it is worth returning to it after this update to see how the quality of the conversations has changed. And in case you are only beginning to explore this feature, now is a great time to discover what language learning looks like when theory is immediately put into practice.
