Hooray! The New Year couldn’t have started with better news, this time straight from the UK: Olive Green by SuperMemo has won the BETT Awards 2016 competition in the Educational Apps category! The awards gala took place in The Brewery in central London during The BETT Show, world's leading education technology event, this year celebrated on January 20-23 at the ExCel Exhibition Center. Competition was tough; other candidates were outstanding.

In the SuperMemo.com app, we decided to coin and use a new MemoCard term. What we mean by MemoCard is a chunk of information, usually in the form of a question and an answer, used for memorizing in the process of repetition optimized by SuperMemo. You can easily create such items yourself using the Add MemoCard icon in the top line and have SuperMemo organize the process of repetition to minimize the time you spend on learning and to maximize the retention effect.

The finalists for the Bett Awards 2016 have been announced, and, most importantly, SuperMemo’s “Olive Green” is among them! Our “Olive Green” apps for Android, iOS and Windows PC have been shortlisted for the final stage of the competition in the Educational Apps category. We are very proud that Bett experts have noticed and rewarded our project with their prestigious nomination.

A couple of days ago we introduced the Extreme series of vocabulary courses that make it possible for you to learn 25,000 words in four different languages. Now, these dictionaries are available for you not only as courseware, but also as a useful tool that you can refer to when learning with any SuperMemo course. What is more, the dictionary toolkit includes both the Extreme series glossaries and the Google Translate mechanism for translation between an even wider list of languages.
