Olá! Bună! Ahoj! Merhaba! In October 2026 we published four new courses on supermemo.com and in the SuperMemo mobile apps: Portuguese: Fast Track, Romanian: Fast Track, Czech: Fast Track and Turkish: Fast Track. Each one takes you from your first words to confident everyday conversations at A1–A2 level. And you chose these languages yourselves.

The Fast Track series is designed for one goal: getting you to speak a new language at a basic level as quickly as possible. Whether you are planning a trip to Lisbon, moving to Bucharest for work, visiting Prague or exploring Istanbul, these courses prepare you for the situations you will actually face: in a shop, at a restaurant, at the doctor’s or in a public office.
Four courses at a glance
All four courses are complete A1–A2 courses with thousands of pages of material and between 2,400 and 2,900 exercises each.

Each course covers the same set of everyday topics, so you can learn what matters most from day one:
- Getting started: greetings, polite phrases, dates and age, telling the time, phone calls
- About you: family, nationality, work, education, hobbies, your day, expressing opinions
- Out and about: at the market, food, at a restaurant or café, shopping, clothes, everyday objects, computers
- People and health: appearance, personality and emotions, at the doctor’s or pharmacy
Everything you need to learn on your own
These are comprehensive courses: they contain the full content you need to learn the language by yourself, with no textbook or teacher required. In every course you will find:
- Dialogues and texts in each chapter, showing the language in real situations
- Audio recordings, so you get used to correct pronunciation from the start
- Translations of dialogues, texts and vocabulary
- Grammar explanations written for beginners
- Vocabulary lists with the words and phrases you need most
- Vocabulary and grammar exercises, from 2,400 to over 2,900 per course
- Speech recognition in the mobile apps, so you can practise speaking out loud
The vocabulary and grammar exercises go straight into your reviews managed by the SuperMemo algorithm. It schedules each item just before you are likely to forget it. Words you know well come back less often, and difficult ones more often, so your time goes where it is needed. That is how what you learn stays with you for the long term, not just until the end of the course.
Learn in your own language
All four courses are translated into all 14 SuperMemo interface languages, including English, Polish, Chinese, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Ukrainian. You can learn Turkish from Japanese, Czech from Spanish or Romanian from Polish, with translations and grammar explanations in the language you know best.
A first for Romanian, a big step up for Portuguese, Czech and Turkish
Romanian: Fast Track is the first Romanian course ever published in SuperMemo. Until now, Romanian was not on the list of languages you could learn with us at all.
For Portuguese, Czech and Turkish, SuperMemo has so far offered vocabulary courses from the PowerWords! series: PowerWords! European Portuguese, PowerWords! Czech and PowerWords! Turkish. They are a great way to build vocabulary. The new Fast Track courses go much further, adding dialogues, texts, recordings, grammar and exercises, so you can learn to understand and speak, not just memorise words. If you have already used a PowerWords! course, Fast Track is a natural next step, and the two work well side by side.
Three ways to access the new courses
You can choose the option that suits you best (see which to choose):
- Premium subscription. All four Fast Track courses are included in SuperMemo Premium, a renewable subscription (monthly or yearly) that gives you access to all SuperMemo courses, about 300 in 25 languages, plus full AI features.
- A single course for a year. Buy only the course you want and get 12 months of access. It does not renew automatically, but you can extend it.
- Free learning. Try any of the new courses for free with a card limit: up to 20 cards per day and 140 cards per month. It is a good way to see whether the course and the SuperMemo method suit you before you pay.
You chose these languages, and Spanish is next
Portuguese, Romanian, Czech and Turkish were selected by SuperMemo users in our survey on which languages to add to the Fast Track series next. They join the Fast Track courses already available for languages such as Norwegian, Dutch, Swedish, Danish and Chinese.

What level do the new Fast Track courses cover?
All four courses cover CEFR levels A1–A2. They are designed for complete beginners and for learners who want to refresh the basics. Can I learn Portuguese, Romanian, Czech or Turkish on my own with SuperMemo?
Yes. Fast Track courses are comprehensive self-study courses. Each one includes dialogues, texts, recordings, translations, grammar explanations, vocabulary lists and exercises. You do not need a textbook or a teacher, and the SuperMemo algorithm plans your reviews so you remember what you have learned.
Which variety of Portuguese does the course teach?
